In Utah, students are not obtaining sex education in a comprehensive or sex-positive format, which in turn has long-lasting effects on our society.

I created this research and survey-based art piece to raise awareness about current sex education practices in Utah and the consequences of the current format, while also raising the level of knowledge around sex-positive education.

Sex education in my home state of Utah has affected me directly. I wanted to use my design skills to create an engaging, yet advocatory piece for a cause I deeply care about.

Utah Censored has been exhibited in the Southern Utah Museum of Art in Cedar City, UT, as well as at the Utah Pride Story Garden at Washington Square in Salt Lake City, UT.
